A much needed update...

It's been a while since my last blog post, and quite a bit has happened over the last few months. The biggest thing to happen was in June I took part in Jeff Miracola's Fantasy Art Workshop Illustration Intensive. The workshop was took place right here in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and was an amazing experience. Being able to meet and work alongside dozens of industry veterans and other artists in the fantasy art scene was fantastic. The experience and insight I gained during the week long event is something I will carry with me through the rest of my career. While I didn't get my painting completed, it is coming along nicely and I can't wait to finish it and show you guys!

Outside the Workshop in June I was also able a couple smaller paintings. One titled, Midnight Monster, is me diving into the monster/creature side of the fantasy art genre. The second is a small commissioned gouache painting entitled, Young and Wise, the painting focuses on a young owl in it's natural state of being. Both works have been added to the painting gallery for viewing with Midnight Monster available for purchase.

Finally, the most recent piece I've completed, a black and white fantasy gouache painting, entitled Gift of Enlightenment is up for public viewing as part of the Black & White Art Show up at the Blick Art Store in downtown Milwaukee (2219 N Farwell Ave, Milwaukee, WI 53202). The Work will be up and viewable Until mid September. If you are in the area, make sure to stop by and check out all the awesome work! Below is a few process photos:
