New paintings added to home page gallery

Nocturnal Witch, Oil on panel, 16 x 20 inches., 2017.

Added to the home page gallery is a number of new pieces. These pieces include; Nocturnal Witch, Mimic and Cosmic Lens I, II and III. These paintings were generated over the last few months of 2017 and at the very beginning here of 2018.

Mimic, Gouache on panel, 5 x 7 inches, 2017

This small painting was done in October and completed just before Halloween. Beyond enjoying painting the figure in fantastical works, I also enjoy creature design. Having played D&D and tons of RPGs over the years, the Mimic creature as a concept has always drawn my attention.

Cosmic Lens I, II and III (top to bottom), 5 square inches each, 2018

These are the newest works to be added to my portfolio. Inspired partially by the miniature galaxy paintings by the Milwaukee based oil painter Matthew Warren Lee. The cosmic Lens painting's aren't hard to understand; these paintings are meant to capture the splendor of our universe through invented fantastical celestial objects that mimic our own.

Well that brings us to the end of this update. I still have to photograph/upload a few more works made recently so another update should be coming down the line real soon. Beyond that, I'm prepping my submission to Spectrum 25 so that has my full attention at the moment.
