Impact Redux & Blood Moon

Added to the home gallery is two new pieces of traditional art. Both pieces continue my look at the cosmic wonders and forces of the universe. The first is Impact Redux (upper image). The work measures 3 x 3 inches and is gouache done on watercolor panel. This piece was me revisiting my ideas and concepts from the first ever digital painting I did in 2014 titled Impact. In this piece I look to capture the duality of cosmos, that there is peace, beauty and structure in nature, and how in an instant it can be easily turned into chaos and destruction.
The second piece added to the gallery is titled Blood Moon (lower image). The work measures 4 x 4 inches, and is oil on linen mounted on panel. In this work I look to capture the fantastical and magical sight of the lunar occurrence we call a Blood Moon.
